  1. yes you're very good at hurdles! especially since you haven't even started high school yet. at state (where the fastest high schoolers go) the fastest girl ran 13.44 seconds. and the others came around 13-15 seconds. but these girls have been practicing for a long time, and they're mostly seniors.

i think you have really good potential of going to state really soon if you keep up the good work and keep practicing hard =) my team's fastest hurdler (in California) was low 16's high 15's and she's a senior! and she made CIF prelims.

  2. yes, for an 8th grade girl that is a good time.

Anything under 17 or 18 seconds is good for the 8th grade.

Why would you not want to go out for track?

As you learn and get better you should improve your times.

  3. It is pretty good, there are a lot of variables though. How close to 16 flat are you. Some people think that a 16.2 is close to a 16 flat but .2 is a lot of time when it comes to the 100 hurdles. With that time you should definetly go back to track. Keep working at it and you will get a lot better especially since you have not been hurdling for very long.

It is hard to say how you will do against your competitors because I don't know where you are from. I am from Pennsylvania and you had to run a 15.8 to qualify for states but at states you wouldn't even get in the top 10 unless you ran below 15.

Hurdling takes a lot of hard work. Good luck and if you need any help, don't be affraid to send me an email, my email address is cellirun@yahoo.com

I qualified for states 3 years hurdling, I hurdle in college and I have the 100 and 300 hurdles in high school, I went on to college where I ran the school record in the 55h, 60h, indoor 300h, 100h, and 400h. Good luck

  4. I'm around the same age as you and i can't even sprint a normal 100m that fast.
