Well I have to try out because my dad bought be new clubs and I average a 27 handicap. When I usually play 9 holes by myself ill get 11 or 12 over but 18 wholes I do worse on the back 9. I can drive the ball fine 195-205 yards and I'm okay everywhere else but I make some mistakes here and there. I'm a freshman and my school lost 7-8 seniors this year but I don't know if I'm good enough for the team?

Am I?

  1. Maybe talk to the coach of the team and see what advice they can give you. Maybe wait a year or two so you are totally prepared for it. Good Luck.

    Have a good one...

  2. Jezza is right...you have nothing to lose.  Besides...I find that you really start to improve your game and scores when you put yourself in situations that are more competitive.  Just playing with friends, there's nothing really on the line...but when you have some pressure to play with, that's when you'll really start to see where your game actually stands up compared to others.  Go in with limited expectations, but try your best for the entire round.  Don't give up if you have a few bad holes...The more you put yourself in these situations, the more you'll see your game improve.

    Good luck

  3. you got nothing to lose by trying out. go 4 it
