I just got my schedule for school, and I noticed that there was this symbol next to one of the subjects. It was written like this: Math lll. Does that mean that it is an advanced class? If not, do you have any idea what the symbol means? Thanks.

  1. in most schools they have different sections for classes for example in my school they would have math (a, b,c) in your case is math (1,2,3) it definitely means that your on a different level if your not that good at math then they would put you on math 1 or if your really good at it then they would put you on math 3... i hope i helped because that's the way it works on my school

  2. I think you're going into Math 3.  What grade are you in?

  3. No its not. If it is it would have something next to it. For example, in my school there is a H next to the subject which means honor

  4. no that means its math sec 3

  5. If it was an advanced or honors class it would most likely have an (H) next to it to denote it. The III probably means you are going into your third year/level of math. It also could be a mistake on your schedule, so you should check with your advisor.
