If you do it when you're the only one around, you do it to project more noise around you, so you don't feel lonely; it's a normal human mind! Play music and sing along if you get creeped out by talking to yourself.

no you are not crazy. Every one talks to themselves at one point. People talk to themselves to find answers that no one else can answer for them, its basically just thinking out loud. Nothing crazy about it... because i would be crazy then lol

depends.  talking in your head is fine

walking into a shop and saying loudly "right, what shall i buy today then?" is a bit strange

depends if you talk out loud or keep it in your head, if its in your head i think its fine, that little voice is the one making all the decisions, or in my case making me think before i speak lol

I talk to myself, but it bothers my neighbours.  I use a megaphone.

no not insane i talk to my self all the time, some people actually talk to them selves because they are talking to someone a voice in there head if this were the case then insanity would come into it, ut normally we all talk to our selves

I honestly don't believe you're insane. Sometimes when I talk to myself is just mainly outloud and when I do this, it helps me to understand what I'm saying and able to solve many problems that way. Plus, I don't have many people to talk to, so it helps.

My mom told me, "I do it. As long as you don't answer yourself, you're okay."
