  1. Just semantics, but you are not legally blind by a wording stand point. Blindness is the condition of lacking visual perception due to physiological or neurological factors. You are functionally blind both eyes without correction. To be legally blind has a different definition that you do not qualify for (Thankfully, for you!) In order to determine which people may need special assistance because of their visual disabilities, various governmental jurisdictions have formulated more complex definition referred to as "legal blindness." In North America and most of Europe, legal blindness is defined as visual acuity (vision) of 20/200 (6/60 in Europe) or less in the better eye with best correction possible. This means both eyes are bad and the better one can not be corrected to 20/200 or better. You do not fall in this category. Your eyes can be corrected to 20/20 I assume with contacts or glasses, so you are not technically "legally blind" at all. Some people say.....oh I am legally blind without my glasses....." but this is a misnomer as it does not really mean what people are trying to say. See what I mean? My Rx is -6.50 in both eyes. I am able to be corrected to 20/20 with glasses or contacts. I am functionally blind without correction, but I am not legally blind by any means. Get it?

  2. You could be declared as legally blind  only if your vision is NOT able to be corrected to any better than 20/200  , WITH glasses on.

  3. I hate when people say this.  I am a -13.00 in both eyes, but I can wear my thick glasses, or contacts (which I obviously prefer) and my vision is almost perfect!  Being legally blind means it cannot be corrected that well.

  4. no you're legally retarded.

  5. im 4.00. what am i? half blind?
