Question:

Am I limiting my options?

I'm going to Uni in 4 weeks time to study for a Nursing Diploma

I've chosen the Mental Health branch but now I'm thinking maybe I should switch to the Adult branch

My plan is to study nursing, hopefully gain my qualification then in a few years time train to be a paramedic (I couldn't do the paramedic training now because my son is only 2 and I wouldn't have been ale to work round the training course)

Will I actually get anything from Mental Health that will help me when eventually applying for a paramedic course

any advice?

  1. My mother used to work as director for nurse education and my old man was RMN. I think any experience of the health care profession would stand you in good stead for a job as a paramedic in the future.
