The keys on my piano, when I'm playing a tune, and words about 2 inches from my face are blurry. Is this me being paranoid or is it worth an eye-check?

  1. Yes, you could be long-sighted. An eye test would be a good idea.

  2. Is everything in between those two points clear?  And everything past the piano keys clear?

You definitely need to have an eye test, at the very least you are long-sighted, a precription should clear up the words, although 2 inches isn't very far at all, move the paper away to an average reading distance and they should be clearer.

  3. you could be far-sighted.

how old are you?  because when you get older, then your eyes change.

far-sightedness is when you can't see things close to your face

near-sightedness is when you can't see things far away

you should get it checked out.  modern medicine means you don't have to deal with this kinda frustration.

  4. yes

  5. You could have presbyopia (long sighted). I am in one eye and short sighted with an astigmatism in the other eye.

It would be best to get it checked out though.

  6. Very few, if any, people can see objects clearly at 2 inches from their face; the human eye is not capable of focusing that close.

Why are you leaning putting your face so close to the keys and music?   Try sitting up straight at the keyboard so that the keys and the music are  18 to 22 inches away, that is a normal distance for those tasks.

  7. you are not paranoid...

i would go and see an eye-doc, just in case

  8. yep u need an eye check up

  9. eye check
