Am I naturally en pointe?

Because I have one leg shorter than the other, I stand on the toes (actually the ball of the foot) of my shorter leg to keep balanced. Am I fated to go through life en pointe?

  1. uhm no.

the ball of your feet isn't en pointe.

you need pointe shoes to actually be en pointe correctly.

going en pointe without these shoes is greatly looked down apon by serious ballet dancers...

  2. Uh, no. You're on demipointe. en pointe means on the very tips of your toes, not on the ball of your foot.

  3. en pointe means on the tips of your toes, so no. if the difference is really bothering you, theres probably some form of surgery that can help.

  4. en pointe would be right on the ends of your toes (not the ball of your foot.)

If you were en pointe ,unless you were constantly in professional ballet pointe shoes, you would be in agony and have broken all of your toes by now.

  5. hahaha well that is too bad but i bet eventualy you will get shoes that has really think rubber on one of them so that your feet both are equal on the ground.

  6. no it really depends on your ankle strength ask your teacher about point and i bet u could find out. and that means your on demipoint when your on the ball of you foot when you are on point you are on your toes
