Am I old before my time?

Question

Well I'm only 16, but I went out today with my best friend who's 15 and his other friends who are about the same age. I felt really out of place though, because they were all acting really crazy, like running through the streets and screaming. I wouldn't do that. Doesn't matter how well I know the people I'm with, I just wouldn't do something like that. Another thing was when we were in McDonald's and they thought it would be entertaining to throw fries at people. We went to see a movie as well, which would have been ok if I didn't have them making dumb jokes and racist comments about the actors in it all through the movie. I'd rather be able to watch a film and then if we go out around town after, to not be embarrassed by 16-year-olds acting like little kids. So this just made me think - is it possible to be too mature for your age?

They behave like they were 11 or 12...maybe you're more mature than them, but I think they're silly...maybe sometimes you could go out with other people so you can see the difference.

It doesn't mean your to old for your age it just means your are more mature for your age then most 16 year olds! I am the same way! I was only 18 and i was dating a 27 year old and i acted more mature then he did! So its not that your to old for your age its just that your more mature than people your age! And its not a bad thing it actually get you further in life! Its worked for me so far!

well....yes ..you are mature...and decide to act so...instead of doing

crazy stuff....lol...and well..at your age it is ok to do crazy stuff...but I am sure you'll be intelligent when to do it ..and when not to do it...lol

and depending  what group of people are around...but you cool...you ok...and...nothing wrong with being intelligent..and mature...ok

I'd say get some new friends.  You'll always run into idiots like that....for the rest of your life.
