Question:

Am I over reacting towards my situation?

It seems that when ever I talk to my Dad he has difficulty understanding me. I will admit, sometimes I talk fast or mutter, but my friends and other relatives usually understand me. It gets extremely irritating and I usually find myself in a bad mood for hours. My Dad's hearing isn't the best and he has a hearing problem where his ears are constantly ringing, but even when I try to speak as clearly as possible he still either yeps me or says "what?". So am I over reacting or should I find a different way to handle this problem?

BTW, my Dad only does this to me and no one else who he talks to regularly.

  1. Ask your mother or sister to sort out the problem. As they know the actual position they may be able to guide you properly. From your own side try to be calm and peaceful. Communicate as much as possible to reduce the communication gap. Try to find out which subject irritates him and avoid them. Help him in performing his duties, it shall change his attitute towards you.

Dear there is sometimes generation gap between father and son where both of them can't understand one another. It is quite possible what is your feeling for him the should be in his heart too. So try to be open up and you shall soon be happiest family.

  2. ask your dad.maybe he doesnt like the way you speak to him. it maybe your tone. you should have a father /daughter conversation. Seriously. You should save the relationship. Its hard, but its the part of becoming an adult. Trust. It sucks but it needs to come out. No your not overreacting. GIve it time. He may be embarrased bcos he's not your biggest hero as a dad anymore. I dunno..Just think about it. Dont give up on your dad though, its minor, he's your pops.

  3. That is odd.. maybe you should just talk to him about it. Ask him if you need to pronounce things better or talk louder, because it seems to you that he has trouble hearing you. Maybe he will tell you something you don't know. If not, then I would just relax and try not to take it personally - he is hard of hearing, after all.

  4. HAHAHAHAHA I THINK MAYBE HE DOESNT WANNA HEAR YOU.JUST KIDDING MAYBE HE PRETENDS TO HEAR OTHER PEOPLE CAUSE  HE REALLY CANT HEAR THEM THAT WELL BUT SOME OF THE WORDS.AND SINCE YOUR HIS DAUGHTER HE WOUYLD THINK YOU UNDERSTAND. YOU ARE OVERREACTING A TAD.   :D ITS OK CAUS EIM LIKE THAT TO HAHA
