  1. I don't think so. This is what I am doing to lose fat, and build muscle.

    Tuesday:

Weights Lowerbody (20 minutes) and Swimming (30 minutes / 10 laps) and Crunches (10 sets 30 reps) and Leg Raisers (3 sets 10 reps)

    Wednesday:

    Thursday:

  2. hmmm, if you wanna lose weight and build abs fast i suggest u run everyday. its the fastest way to lose fat. you dont have to run fast, run comfortably for long periods for say 20-30 minutes without stopping? after which rest for awhile but not for long. then proceed with your ab training which shld include leg lifts, jack knives etc (for Wed: High intensity running 20 mins and abs)

anyway its good to run as warm up before u do any weight training cos your muscles will be pretty warmed up by then. go easy on the run. if you feel you are running too slow, run for longer periods. dont push yourself too much.

lastly, your diet is the most important. you need lots of protein. eat more beef? chicken BREAST meat. eat lots of them especially after a workout. stay away from deep fried food for as long as possible.

as for swimming, its less taxing on the joints. it is more useful for toning of muscles so swim once your muscle groups are more or less activated. swimming is relatively useless for weight loss.

note: if you really want to lose fat fast, you had better run everyday. fat production takes place everyday, they dont have day offs (:

hope it helps. i used to be mildly obese anyway. all these advice was given by a friend of mine.

  3. Never do abs and run on the same day because running hurts your abs enough. and losing weight and gaining muscle dont work well together because you got to eat big to get big and if  you eat big you wont lose weight.

  4. There's no such thing as over training, in fact to ideally one should engage in at least  an hour of vigorous activity at least 5 times a week so keep it up and all the best!
