Am I overweight for my age?

I'm 13, 5'7 and I weigh 125ish pounds, I dance 5 days a week for 4 hours and I eat at least 2 times a day. I'm all the girls in my class are sticks and and I don't knowif i'm overweight for my age anymore...

  1. you arent overweight. dancing builds lots of muscle, so thats probably where most of your pounds come from. also, dont compare yourself to the other dancers, every one is built differently.


  2. If you feel good about your body and are eating at least somewhat healthy and arent having weight-related health problems, dont worry about it....unless youre also having trouble getting laid

  3. No your fine. The other girls in your class are probably under weight and starving themselves. So I really wouldn't be jealous of them if I were you, because there are many health risks to being underweight.

  8. NO! You are very tall. You are not over weight. If you feel like you are over weight talk to a doctor about going on a diet, i dont think you need one though. You dance a lot, if you dance that much you are not over weight. If you think you are overweight, you arent cuz you are so tall. You know what also, muscle weighs 3x more than fat. You are dancing so much you probally have a lot of muscle. I do too

  9. you're 5'7 and only 13!?!? wow, i'm a year older and two inches shorter. but considering your height, and the fact that muscle weighs more than fat (since you dance so much), i really don't think you're over weight.

  11. Nope, nope, nope. I'm 15, the exact same height and weight...and by most standards, I'm thin. Not freakishly skinny, like some girls I know, but slender and healthy. And dancing should make you even more so. =D

  12. No, actually you are perfect and healthy! Usually, Dancers are extremly skinny so don't worry.

    If you are worried about your weight then cut out any empty calories such as candy and eat more fruits and veggies. Also, don't compare yourself to other girls because you are your own person and your body is completely different than anyone elses.
