Question:

Am I ovulating?

The FIRST day of my last period was July 1st. I have a 30 day cycle.

The ovulation calculator said I would ovulate between the 14th and 19th. I didn't notice any discharge or anything

But today I notice some clear sticky and stretchy discharge. Not a large amount but some. Anyhow am I ovulation now?

And if so, why is my ovulation late?

  1. Ovalating has no symptoms. The only way to find out for sure if you are ovolating is if you buy an ovolating test to see if you are fertile or not. Good Luck!

  2. Assalam.  If you're expecting AF on 31st July, you probably ovulated around 15th, but this could have been as early as 12th or as late as 19th. Many women don't get 'EWCM' discharge, so don't worry about that! Also, be sure that the discharge you're getting right now is the 'good' kind. Having creamy, white or sticky CM after ovulation is totally normal, so if it's not very stretchy or shiny, then that's not an indication of ovulation.

Finally, the first part of your cycle is the part which can vary form month to month, and so yes, it's totally possible to ovulate later than you'd expect. However, if your cycle are normally very reliable, this is less likely unless you've been really stressed. Good luck!
