Am I pregnant? Husband thinks so but I don't want to waste $ on a test?

Question

My last period was July 24, cycles usually 32-33 days long. Today is day 34 and it doesn't feel like it's starting soon.

Symptoms:

- No usual PMS signs (sore & swollen b*****s, water retention, fairly strong cramps, chocolate cravings) PMS usually starts 9-12 days before my period

- Spotting twice during this cycle - once was bright red streaks in EWCM, 12 days later brown tinged CM

And these are the minor symptoms, prob. unrelated:

- Tired but can't sleep well

- Irritability (husband says it's abnormal)

- Nose bleeding more than usual

- Having to pee frequently (off and on, I might have 3 hours where I go every 15-30 minutes)

- Gas

I honestly don't think I'm pregnant -- I've had weird signs other months that made me think I was when I wasn't. It was just super-strong PMS.

But my husband has it in his mind that I am. If I were pregnant, wouldn't I feel a bit more... unusual?

What do you think? I really don't want to buy a test unless it's very likely I'm pregnant.

You need to just bite the bullet and buy a test.  I have had all the symptoms of being pregnant and when I took the test I found out that I wasn't. Regardless if you are pregnant you need to go and get good prenatal care.  Any doctor you go to will make you take a pregnancy test so you might as well buy one.

seems like you could be pregnant. why not spend the five bucks and buy a test. but be sure to take if first thing in the morning.

You really should test and if you are really against buying a test ( they are not expensive) then go to planned parenthood and get a free one.

Well you really cant know any other way than testing. Your period is already late, you have symptoms, you've had spotting, you might as well test.

Dont waste any money, just go to the dollar store and get a test. They work just as well as any other.

Sound Possible.  The one thing I saw in your post that I had similar was the nose bleeds.  Of course mine was later in pregnancy, but a friend had the same issue in the beginning stages of pregnancy.  Most of the other sympotms could go either way though.  Seriously, if you are even one day late, you could get a + on a HPT now.  They are really not that expensive.  From what I have read, dollar stores carry them.  Or maybe try a local walmart.  I would say about $3-$4 there.

Tests are not expensive, so what is the issue with buying one? Hate to tell you, but just because you have signs, no one here can tell you for sure if you are or not!

I had no signs other than no period.

Honestly, buy the test, they're only like $8 & it's tax deductable for medical expenses.

Blood in EWCM usually means your really fertile that month... if your not imagining the symptoms then I think your preg.

cheap tests are just as good for £1
