Question:

Am I pretty much stuck?

I live in a small town where the only jobs available are like WalMart & fast food restaurants, & the transit system is very limited. If I lived in a bigger city or had a reliable car to commute to a bigger city back & forth from home, I could get a more decent job. I don't even have money for a car, & I don't have enough money to travel to get to & from work. Am I pretty much stuck? If you were in my situation, how would you work your way around this?

  1. Save for a cheap POS car - like $500 - and move elsewhere.

  2. Maybe you could move into a bigger city.

  3. Do you know of anyone else that drives into the city? you could car pool with them. just give them some gas money every once in a while.

or like labrat said you could save money for a POS car, but that won't be very reliable. and especially being a girl, that's not very safe. but hey, sometimes you have to do what you have to do, right? it's up to you.

  4. start with a small cheap car and slowly work your way up
