I can't stand the hoard of irish tinkers who have set up a plot across the road. They stink, they have no disregard for anyone they are a real nuisance.

Yet they accuse the locals of discrimination on racial grounds.

  1. Being racist is to think that people of a certain race are all [what you described] as an example. If you think that stinky people are stinky no matter what their race are then no it's not racist, it's more like common sense.

I once treated a group of people as my equals, that's what I usually do, and they called me racist. You see what I didn't understand was that I should have treated the differently because of where they came from. Their background, their distant ancestors actually,  did somehow give them benefits that other people don't get and I wasn't aware of that.

... silly me, going around thinking that all humans are equal and all... [End Sarcasm]

Seriously, the race card is easy for some individuals to pull out when they want something. In your case they want to be left alone so that they can do what ever they want to without anyone telling them it ... "stinks". Racism is such and loaded topic that people often back off in fear of being "marked" by it somehow, it's easier to look the other way than it is to defend yourself for ages to come.
