well, lately i've been feeling pretty bad, so I went to the doctor and told him how I feel. He says it sounds like I have depression.

Anyways, he sent me for blood tests and thats as far as i've gotten.

But Im starting to doubt myself. Like maybe I don't have depression, and its just my mind playing tricks on me. I mean how do i know if I'm depressed or not, and its not just in my head?

  1. Depression can be intermittent in nature.

  2. I've had dpression for awhile now you feel down all the time sometimes you feel like crying. Want to be left alone very moody torwards stupid thins.  It DOES NOT MAKE YOU A LOSER you just need to get it daelt with by a professional... Good Luck.

  3. Maybe it happened to me too try to think of good things

  4. Your probably not depressed.

    Everyone thinks there depressed.

  5. If you felt bad enough to go to the doctor u have to consider something is wrong.

the blood tests can see if you are feeling this way due to a hormone or chemical imbalance.

good luck depression is a horrible thing.

also depression symptoms are in your head anyway

  6. Contrary to popular belief, depression is very common for all people. Everyone goes thru their states of depression when life isn't going well. Everyone fights depression a little differently. When I'm depressed, my mind can make it worse by overly thinking about my problems. Go to the movies, hang out with your friends, do something that will take your mind off of your problems. Sitting and thinking about them will only make your depression alot worse.

  7. Its all your mind, nowmatter what the doctor says, even if you are depressed you can stop it. Just do things you enjoy, get out once in a while, get a girlfriend/wife.

They tried to tell me i was depressed too but im not, i enjoy life, nowmatter how hard my life has been...Depression is just your mind, just remember, you control your feelings, so if your depressed its you, not your circumstances. Just whatever you do, make sure they DONT put you on meds, my friend and his mother were both put on meds for "depression" and ill tell you they really **** your life up, he has no friends and is now addicted to online games, and she sleeps all day and is the dumbest person i know.

  8. you may have depression...remember, the first stage is denial

  9. deppression is nothing but some negative thoghts and some hard time that we are not ready to accept .just take it easy ur not alone in this line.u need some good doctor who can see ur problems not ur pocket.some hormone changes r also responsible some time.think positive do some exrcse and help others in need u will feel happy.never give up SMILE ALL THE TIME   .have a HAPPY LIFE

  10. Depression is the way your higher self is telling you something is not right in your life.

It can be that you are not doing enough physical activity  - 45 minutes of sustained physical activity that push you to your limits like fast pace walking, jogging, bike riding, working out will release Endorphins that will eliminate depression and even pain and help you have a restful sleep.

Affirmations - look it up on the web there are many sites - is a form of self hypnosis that will also work.

Here are some affirmations and quick explanation I had give someone else.

Write them out every night before sleep at least 3 times (the more the better but it takes 3 for it to imprint and a minimum of 21 days.

Affirmations are a form of self-hypnosis and reprogram your sub-conscious mind replacing old negative feelings of insecurity with self-confidence.

Here are a few I would recommend.

You can also add your own if you wish but be careful to use the positive for instance you say you want to be more confident and less nervous you would phrase it this way:

I am feeling more and more confident everyday.

I feel more and more at ease about myself everyday.

I feel more and more relaxed in social situations.

    II feel good about myself.

I am feeling better and better about my life every day

    I sleep well and deeply.

While I sleep my body and mind heal.

I wake up refreshed and happy.

I wake up inspired and I am starting to set goals for myself.

I notice more and more things in my life that I am grateful for.

I notice more and more things about myself and my life that make me happy.

I am a loveable and likable person.

I am worthy of love and respect.

I am a pleasant and kind person.

I carry myself straight and proud.

    I walk with confidence.

    I smile a lot.

I like myself. People like me.

    People enjoy my company.

I enjoy being around others and going out.

I make it a point to go out everyday.

I feel more and more comfortable in social situations.

I feel more and more at ease being around people.

I always know the right thing to say and the right thing to do.

People like to be around me.

People feel at ease around me.

I feel more and more at comfortable around people.

I am friendly and I make friends easily.

I have a good sense of humor and find things to laugh about every day.

I notice good things about people and tell them.

I feel good about life. Good things always happen to me.

I attract good situations and good people.

Things always seem to work out for me.

Do these every night minimum of 3 times before sleep and you will start noticing a difference within a few days.

Depression is also a sign that you are not living up to your full potential either because of fear or lack of confidence but the affirmations will take care of all that.

Frankly pills do not cure but just eliminate (sometimes) the symptoms but the problem remains percolating behind the scene. Do these things and you will more than likely cure whatever you have

Also please take note that, sweets, caffeine and even cigarettes give you a quick high but then you also have a big down and cannot understand the reason it happens. So eliminate them or start looking for them and you will notice a correlation.

Take control by doing these things and your depression will be a thing of the past.

    I wish you the best.

  12. If you've been feeling this way for more than a few weeks, it's most likely mild to moderate depression.

  15. You might find that when you go to the doctors's office, and you tell him or her the symptoms of this "feeling" and they will definitely say that you are in depression, so beware of that...also, feeling down and crappy is normal and part of life...so don't worry about it...and also, start to look at the good things in life, and stop looking at the bad of life, (if you can and it will take time), and you will find that you will end up feeling better day to day, and trust me, you will not end up being this sad all the time and truthfully your life will be happier...but just knwo that it is a slow process and it takes time...so be patient with yourself but try it...I wish you the best!!  Good luck!!!
