My mams sister (my aunt) is married to a man. This man has a brother who has a child (so its the mans neice).

Am I and the niece related?

No, you are not. The niece is your cousin's cousin, (or will be, as soon as your aunt and the gentleman have a child) but no relation to you.

I would say you are.  Blood is thicker than water.  A cousin's cousin is still blood, phooey ~ bahooy to what those etiquette and genealogy books say.  Your related and let it be so.  I now pronounce you related...don't let everyone on here ruin your fun!  You know how these haters are!!!  I'm just happy that you've met someone so close at work.  Can I call you on the call line?  I don't care how long distance it is....I think I have a question????
