Am I right? Peyton Manning is the Best QB right now? (PATS fans don't answer)

I am a huge Colts fan and I know Brady isn't the best, he's a choker and his team tried 2 spy gate, Romo isn't he is just not very good, and Farve is getting older and should have retired don't know why he still is playing?!

i would say that brady has the edge cause manning always had the better receivers and still only managed to win just 1 super bowl so far, where as brady never had a good receiver core until last year and managed to win 3 super bowls

I would agree that Peyton is the best right now. Romo could be great some day but not right now. Brady is good too but Manning is better.

I agree with you on one thing and that is that Peyton Manning is a great QB.  However, to say that he is the best right now is not realistic.  I'm a Colt fan also, however just because you are a fan of a team, doesn't mean that everyone on your team is dubbed the best.  Peyton is a great QB and his stats show that he is a hall of famer.  The numbers say that Tom Brady is the best.  Also you are wrong about Tony Romo.  He did very well last season with a few exceptions.  Both of those QB's had a QB rating above 90.0.  So I do agree that Peyton Manning is a great QB, no doubt about it.  However numbers don't lie.  The top QB in the league last year was Tom Brady because of his TD's, and QB rating along with passing yards..

If you look closely you will see that Peyton Manning ranked 7th overall while Brady ranked 1st and Romo ranked 3rd.  There is no denying that Brady was the best last season, however this year remains to be seen..

carly, you call yourself a colts fan, but half the time you cant spell the players names correctly ( joseph ADDAI-- not addia) and dont know the positions they play ( again, joseph addai doesnt play wide receiver he's a running back).  it's wonderful you're a diehard colts fan and a woman at that ( i am too), but please, when answering questions that relate to the colts, please know what you're talking about first.

This has been debated all last season & both are great quarterbacks & yes the Patriots did lose last year, but he still has 2 more rings  than Manning. I think both are great & everyone will have their own reason why they think one is better than the other but that's okay with me.

If you would have asked this question 2 years ago then no one could have argued against you, but now Tom Brady is in his prime and continues to win and win and win. Also he has blossomed into a TD machine. But in the end Peyton will the great one. Although Brady came from no where.

First off, how do you "try to spygate"?  Is that even a proper sentence? Get your facts straight before you go around throwing out accusations, it was Bill Belichick and his coaching staff that was accused of illegally filming games, not Brady.

As far as Peyton goes, he is definitely one of the top 2 QB's in the game right now, but until he matches Brady's 3 Lombardi Trophies, he can only be 1 of the top 2. He is a great QB, I won't deny that!

I agree that Manning is the best QB now.  I disagree that Favre should have retired.  He had the second best season last year of any QB (yes, better than your beloved Peyton but not as good as Brady).

According to fantasy ratings, Peyton is no. 2 and Tom Brady is ranked no. 1.

As much as I hate to admit, according to stats and productivity Brady is no. 1. He had a phenomenal season. He broke scoring records of my GSOT and almost had a perfect season, without spygate. (They were under scrutiny at that time.)

I don't expect Eli to have as great a season as he had. So look at the same QB battle this year:

1. Brady

2. Peyton

3. Tony Romo

But watch out there is a real good Drew Breeze out there that can put up some numbers.

Peyton Manning is the best QB in the NFL.

Comparing the two based on purely last year's stats is unfair. Tom Brady had one of the greatest supporting casts ever. Randy Moss just allowed him to bomb it in double, even triple coverage, and Randy would win the ball. Give Peyton Moss to throw to, and he will light it up even more.

I'm not even going to mention Spygate's potential impact.

Sweetie, your point on Romo is WAY off!  Check out some old Favre and Staubach films to see how much Romo is definitely in their midst.  He just needs to tweak some of his current maneuvers and he will be one of the best, ever.  Mark my words.

As far as Peyton goes, he is definitely one of the best.  Brady, although a great QB, has a great offensive team of players to throw to.  Remember, it doesn't matter how good your QB is if you have no one to on the other side to catch it!

Oh and please don't say things about women not knowing anything about football.  Football is a religion in my house and my husband knows better than to bug me when its on!

Brady is the best QB right now.  Manning is the "choker".  He barely got over the hump to win one Super Bowl.  Brady has 3.

I don't and never did buy into the Spygate c**p.  It seemed like a lot of fans used it as an excuse as to why their team could never beat the Pats.  Especially after the experts said that it could not make a significant difference in the outcome.  And as far as I'm concerned, in the end it's the player that have to execute so you can't really take away what they do.

Brady didn't get a real receiver until Moss.  Manning had Harrison AND Wayne.  Having two number one receivers darn sure help Manning look as good as he does.  Manning will break a lot of records in his day, but unless he wins 2 more SB, he should be considered good and not great.

Despite all that, in the end, SB rings are the measuring stick.  That's what makes Montana and Aikman are better than Favre despite his records.

If Manning were to win 2 more SBs, then I would definitely say he's the best in the league.  But for now it's Brady.

same with Farve and the packers last season.  The packer coach McCarthy doesnt deserve to be in the same room as a future hall of famer like farve (or manning for that matter).

Not sure if I would call Brady a "choker" as he has helped his team win 3 out of 4 superbowls (for all you Pats fans remember, Brady didn't win the superbowl Viniterri did, Brady just didn't lose the game, something Romo needs to work on all three by the way).  But I would say Manning is the best QB right now, other then Brett Favre name me one quarterback (still active) who took over for a floundering team and not only won but has won at the rate Manning has won, he truly is a QB a team was built around, put Brady in the same situation and I don't think you're going to get the same result, however if you put Manning in the same situation as Brady was in, playing for a playoff caliber team behind a decent NFL QB at the time (Bledsoe) who gets hurt, and see if the results aren't the same if not better, Manning whould florish in the Pats system better then Brady does with the reads, the same can't be said for Brady, as I don't think he could call the plays at the line of scrimmage with the consistancy that Manning does.  Remember SuperBowl rings aren't always the thing to measure the best buy, Brady has had the fortune of playing with a team that has a tremendous (but aging) defense, Manning has never had that luxary.
