  1. Well first of all, the link to your other question doesn't work.

And I am sorry that you have a bad impression of English people.  Just remember everyone is different and not all English people are like the ones you have come across so far.

  2. You get fruitcakes of all kinds honey, so be prepared for the worst. You're going to get quite a few plonkers, but it's not universal. Those kind people don't just hate you, they hate everybody equally. On the whole people here can be very friendly, just ignore the ones who give you a hard time. Don't go around with doe eyed innocence though, it won't serve you well.

  3. Sorry your URL is not connecting.

I have to say I'm sorry if you have been given a false impression about English people. We do try so hard and to be honest we can be the most warm and kinded hearted of people. Though we can be a little on the reserved side until you get know us.

However, like every nationality there are always the few that let you down. Pay no heed to them.

  4. At present there is a lot of resentment to "outsiders" entering this country, whilst your reasons may be genuine and true, there are people who come to this country just to free load, sadly unlike the great unwashed resident inbreds, you will more than likely, judged by your appearance as as a freeloader.

You cant really blame the people who have payed into a Government only to see that money payed out to someone who has never contributed can you?

  5. I know Hastings very well, it has one of the largest community of refugees and asylum seekers in the south east, if it was so racist why don't we hear of more attacks? It has as many violent immigrants as locals per % of population.

Edit: I'm not convinced you're genuine.

  6. Do we look bothered?

  7. The link doesn't work.

  8. I'm sorry to read that you've had a bad experience with English people, but you have also just proven that you are not someone who is looking to unite different human beings. You have come to a conclusion based on those who have answered your question on Yahoo Answers. And you have come to a conclusion about the USA in the same fashion. I think if you really are seeking to understand different cultures and unite human beings, you would continue to have an open mind regardless and probably come to England anyway to meet real English people and understand them. I know exactly where you're coming from as I was in a similar position when I lived in Dubai. There are good people and bad people everywhere. There are open minded people and closed minded people everywhere. There are all kinds of people on Yahoo Answers. I don't know what your original question was as the link does not work, but I am guessing you received some unfavourable answers which made you come to this conclusion. Don't let a few bad apples encourage this stereotype. Keep an open mind. There are A LOT of good and cool English people in the world :-)

  9. Emanely. There are bad apples in every barrel, unfortunately this site has more than its share of them . Please do not judge all English people by the few you meet on here.

  10. go sit on it.
