  2. I think the spammer thought of that fact and is using it too achive his aims. I think he knew everyone he does not like would be on at this time. There was someone saying they had found a way to cause troubles on yahoo on another forum by hitting at this time. Seems that this is an attempt by some people to bring a server failure to yahoo and knew about the update thing.
