Am I right for reacting this way?

Question

My Senior year started yesterday, and I love every class I'm in, but one, maybe two are pretty boring. The required ceramics course I'm taking is filled with freshmen and juniors who are jerks. Me and this one kid are the only Seniors, and I feel pretty awkward around him. But there's another class that has ONLY Seniors. I go to my guidance counselor today and ask her if I can simply be switched, even mentioning the other kid to be fair. She says no can do, I have to keep it. Now the day before I sacrificed an hour early release, just to take another elective (psychology) that I really wanted but didn't get originally. The cold harded b*tch has no sense for filling an entire class of kids I knew my entire life, and leave me being miserable? The only reason why I care so much is cause it's my last year of high school, and something silly like this can't be done. >_>

My history class is the same way. But the teacher is my football coach so I just go over plays with him. lol

Dude, this is what it's going to be like for the rest of your life. What about college, when likely none of your old high school friends are in your classes?

Freshmen are freshmen and will eventually outgrow being tools. And you can always intimidate the juniors with your seniority if they talk smack.

Your counselor can't cater to every student's individual social needs. You just need to suck it up.

I'm in grade ten, and i have A horrible teacher who gossips about students, and i have her.. ALL MORNING!

  That's my fault though, i failed social studies so I'm with a whole bunch of freshman too. (my school starts at gr.9)

and this is why I hate school....

Just think about it this way... your getting out of there in one year, I mean I know that everyone wants their senior year to be perfect, but its not gonna be that way because people who work at schools suck. the end.

I had to take an elective class I didn't like and then during the first semester I made a friend there and we still talk today and had a blast in class. Hope it works for you too.

i HATE school so much, i hate getting up. so its even worse for me.

i have one friend in all of my classes.
