My basement is only 5 or 6 feet below ground. Is it possible that a powerful tornado can suck me right out of my basement?

  1. yes

  2. Safer than you are in your attic.

There's no absolute safe, you just gotta play the odds.  And the odds say you're better off in your basement than up above ground level.

  3. it is safer but try and stay obviously where there is no glass, and if possible the safer part of the house is in the far north east corner.  If you cant get there just try and get into another corner.

I know how tornadoes are =[

  4. If your house is hit by an f5 tornado you will not survive even in your basement. And you will most likely be killed by flying or falling debris and not by being sucked out of your basement.

  5. No it is not possible.
