Am I screwed with this team?

Here's how things have panned out for me with the 6th pick in a 10 team league......

QB1 D. Anderson

QB2 J. Campbell

RB1 S. Jackson

RB2 R. Grant

RB3 B. Jacobs

RB4 C. Perry

RB5 C. Johnson

WR1 T.J. Housh

WR2 J. Walker

WR3 R. Williams

WR4 J. Gage

WR5 R. Meachem

TE A. Gates

K N. Kaeding

D Giants

I know my recieving corps is weak, it's mainly because I lost K. Curtis. Should I trade one of my top 3 backs for more WR depth?

  1. you will just miss the playoffs as it sits now.

for a 10 team league, your QBs are horrible

RBs are good, dont mess with that

WRs are all overrated except Williams, Houch and Walker are hurt and the other two should not have been drafted. Curtis would add to the trouble not help it.

Gates is good, but not the best anymore.

Kaeding is decent but kickers for KC, Giants, Carolina and Minnesota should be better

Giants Def was good last year.......pick up Tenn. Buf, Carolina, or Philly

  2. You should be ok.  WR is an issue but lots of upside.  You can never have too many good RBs.  Hope Perry or Johnson get off to good starts and use them as trade bait.  Keep an eye on the waiver wire - a few surprise receivers always surface - Desean Jackson in Philly could be one of these.

  3. You're Not That Bad. You Know Your Weakness. See If You Can Get A Decent TE Off Waivers Maybe Owen Daniels. Then Try And Tempt Somebody With Gates For A TJ Caliber WR. You Got Options. You're Like A Cotchery Away From Greatness. Good Luck To Ya This Season.

  4. Your receiving is bad because you have 5 RB.  When your first 5 picks were for running backs u shoulda chose some decent WR and QB.  Trade your Giants DEF because Usi is out for some decent DEF.  Trade 2 of your backs  for a better WR and semi good QB

  5. you do have some things to address.  this is not a powerhouse for a 10 team league.

first off, which williams do you have?  roydell, reggie, or roy?  for your sake, i hope it's reggie or roy.

yes, your rbs are sold and you do need one more reliable receiver.  but you are also lacking at D and QB, in my opinion for a 10 team league.  while anderson certainly could have a great year, his recent concussion should give you pause.  and campbell could be a disaster.  yes, the skins have a new pass happy offense but, to put it mildly, they have STUNK offensively.  also, colt brennen is breathing down his neck.  and the giants D, while still good, without osi will be downgraded (out of top 10) as well.

here's my advice:  try to trade a rb for a better qb and dump campbell (hang onto perry for now, he may end up being a good fantasy player this year, good receiving back).  pick up a wr on waiver wire (10 team league should have plenty of good wrs as free agents).  here are some that may be available: david patten, desean jackson, eddie royal, ted ginn, jabar gaffney....  with a little research you can find a good extra wr for free.  for D, pick up a free agent team, but maybe wait until week 2 (have the skins in week one and in week 2 you will be playing against your star player, steven jackson.

    good luck!
