Question:

Am I shy? or is this normal? I don't like exercise walking besides big roads?

Hi! This is the thing:

Sometimes when I feel stressed or whatever, me and my mom go and walk around our neighborhood. This is ok with me.

But then, she always wants us to walk to the big roads and walk along them in the sidewalk.

When I'm walking there, I feel terribly uncomfortable because lots of cars are passing by and they are probably not even looking at me, but still I feel uncomfortable with being exposed to so many people at the same time!

why is this? is this normal or is this a symptom of shyness? Like I'll walk in small streets or in parks, where people are meant to walk... but walking in big roads I feel like a getto person that doesn't have a car (which I do, but I just feel that way)

is this ok, or this shyness?

thanks!

  1. I feel like that sometimes too. It is all in your self-confidence. I have very low self-confidence, and I feel this way. My friend, who has very high confidence is fine...

  2. You may have Social Anxiety Disorder, and no, that dosen't sound like normal shyness. This is somewhat like I felt before I got diagnosed.

  3. yea sometimes i feel like that too. you shouldnt care what other people think and try to focus your mind off something like having a nice conversation with your mom ( which is what I will do when i feel kinda awkward ) or maybe listen to music to boost your energy and self esteem and just think you are the coolest thing alive! lol good luck =)
