I'm 13. I had Mononucleosis up until about June. When I did, I was never hungry. I started eating pretty normally for a while, but now I'm never hungry again. I usually force myself to eat protein and nutrients at meal times, but then I end up feeling nauseous when I'm done. I'll begin eating, then I'll think about eating and I'll feel nauseous. I'm 5' 4" and 103 lb., and I've lost 10 pounds since I got Mono. After mono was through, I weighed 106 pounds, then I gained 3 and now I'm at 103. I don't think of myself as fat and I am very mentally stable about my appearance. What's wrong with me?

  4. we are sooo the same a I'm like that too but i am not sure what you have wrong well i have not gone to the dr. to see what is wrong with me...maybe it is a eating disorder..not sure...hope i helped...

  5. Doesn't sound like an eating disorder since you say you are mentally stable and that you try to eat!  Feeling nauseated when eating may be signs of something else (could be flu symptoms, mono, etc.) Talk to your doctor to see what they think!  Maybe because of your small build, its harder for your body to eat as much as you make yourself!  Good luck!

  6. This is an eating disorder article that gives you the symptoms, common thoughts of someone with the disorder and even has a journal entry by someone with an eating disorder. I found it very helpful.

  7. I had the same thing, your stomach shrunk, just like mine, you have to ease back into things, its took me month for things to get back to normal.

  8. uhhh ask a doctor and tell ur parents...

  9. go to the doctor right way. you could have something with your stomach

  10. Your body just doesn't like food. Its probably a chemical your brain put off while you were sick...usually things like depression or stress can set it off. But an illness can do just as much maybe even more damage.

Get things like vitamin water, or things infused with vitamins. This will help you get nutrients when you aren't eating. Propel water has vitamins and will help your metabolism become hungry again.

Its just training your brain to let you eat again. If there are sweet treats you love..get those..eat those.. really anything will help right now. Once you get an appetite back then you can focus on getting in healthy stuff. For now, eat what your body wants..not what you think you should.

If this doesn't help..unfortunately you should see a doctor...they have dealt with this before and know what will help.
