Am I so "anti-social"???

Okay, here it is....

I'm a filipino guy...

just being here in USA for almost 7 months

I am not so good in speaking english

but I can almost express everything by writing/typing

I am 15y/o

going to be a junior highschool this august...

last year, I am too shy to go out with my classmates for lunch, when they are with me, I just sit there and listen to everything they are talking about.

During break, I just roam around the campus alone :(

so basically, I'm a loner at school.

HOW DO I GAIN FRIENDS AT SCHOOL???

I can understand its difficult,but if u are good in any subject help out the one in class who is not slowly u will gain popularity, secondly greet everyone, do not be shy, smile all the time help the teacher to carry he things just be a little social you will benifit moreover try and find out some more filinopinos

Find some filipinos you can hang out with. They should know where you're coming from!

I had the same problem when i was in school last year.

But this is what you have to do...

talk to everybody you see.

Smile often (It makes you look friendly and approchable)

If you talk your head off than someone will like what come's out of your mouth and BOOOM there's a friend already.

you are not anti-social, just shy and feeling out of place. I agree with the answer to be friendly to people. also, volunteering to help out wherever volunteers are needed is a good idea. also joining clubs. good luck to you!
