Am I stealing him from my best friend?

My best friend is moving away tomorrow to go to college about 4 hours away. I'm staying here in our hometown and I'm going to beauty school about 30 minutes from here. She is really really good friends with this guy that's a grade below us so he's a senior this year in high school. I know she has hung out with him recently but she doesn't know that I've hung out with him too. Me and him have become really really really good friends and we've even hooked up. She used to have a little thing for him but she "says" she's over it. I'd really like to get with him but I don't want her to find out and get upset. Is it ok for me to do this or should I back off and not let anything happen with me and him??

Look, I understand where your coming from. I have a friend who takes guys from other girls, but only because there hot or rich. If I were you, I would date him, see how it goes, and, if your sure you like him for the right reasons, then tell your friend. Another way is to just be honest and tell her now. If she's a good enough friend, she'll understand. You choose.
