Am I still eligible for unemployment insurance if I move out of state?

I currently receive bi-weekly unemployment checks. I live in California, but in a few months, I will be relocating to Texas. Basically I just need to know if I will be receive insurance from another state. Thanks!

  1. It don't matter how many times you move or where. You will continue to draw off California first until that account balance reaches zero. Then you will draw off your current location. But since you are moving you will have to re-file with your current address though.


  2. yes it is transferable! so you are good to go,you may have to contact the new branch or the old but you will get your benefits!

  3. yes you will be able to draw your checks off california when you move which is great because i am sure cal. unemployment is more than texas good luck.

  4. yes, but you have to inform them before you move. then evrything will be taken care of. inform them about your new address.

  5. You should;I mean why would they be that cruel as to stop you from getting the checks in the first place ?  I know ask the unemployment office ! I will pray hard & strong for you ok ?
