I am a disabled adult and currently reside in a independent living transitional home run by my local county mental health(CMH) with no rental agreements. I have a rep. payee as well. Recently I was chosen to reside in a newer program within the same county agencies and started the process to move mid month. Now CMH is demanding a 30 day notice. First my Case manager told me I didn't have a rental agreement thus I could move immediately. Now faced with losing a spot in a T - House, the same person is demanding 30 day notice+ (until they find a replacement) after the first of next month in order to be "fair to the other ladies." I find this not ethical when other women in the house have moved suddenly without refunding myself or the others for the lost rent.

My Guardian claims theres a rental agreement that has mysteriously vanished and I have never signed any documents pretaining to my living situation. Is there anything I can do?

  1. Although not required, I suggest sending them a letter ASAP as a courtesy
