  1. The TOEFL is for international students.

You are not one, since you are a permanent resident of the United States and therefore you follow the general admissions guidelines which does usually not include the TOEFL.

  2. Hello there and welcome!

You do not have to take the TOEFL test. The TOEFL is not related to US high schools. Also, the TOEFL is not related to your visa.

Basically, the TOEFL is a test that measures your ability to speak English. You must take this test (and get a certain score) if you would like to attend a school or university in the United States.

Also, if you would like to receive a professional qualification or license in the United States, you are sometimes required to take the TOEFL. For example, if you are a pharmacist in the Philippines and would like to be certified as a pharmacist in the US, then you would have to take the TOEFL. This test proves how well you speak English.

    Hope this has helped you!

By the way, if you do take the TOEFL test, don't hesitate to come to my website for TOEFL writing help:  http://www.cz-training.com/toefl/index.h...
