Question:

Am I stuck with ankle pain?

It's been about 10 years since I left High School, but I twisted my ankle probably around 7 or 8 times during high school playing basketball (never broke it). I have a medium amount of pain in my left ankle when I don't wear running shoes or basketball shoes. It's weird that it doesn't hurt when I jog or play basketball, just when I don't wear shoes or wear dress shoes. Am I just stuck with the pain, or can it be fixed? Thanks for any info.

  1. Try traditional medicine first as suggested by the first response & if that doesn't work think about trying acupuncture.

    Best Wishesssssssss!!! :--)

  2. Depending on what could have caused you to twist your ankle years ago it is possible that it could be fixed.

The only way to know for sure is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation and also a consultation with an orthopedic surgeon that specializes in Foot and Ankle surgery (doesn't necessarily mean that you will need surgery but they may have other options that can be of help) or a Podiatrist (a doctor that diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders that relate to the foot and ankle).
