Am I the ONLY one who feels that American Idol is a Big Joke?

Question

First of all There are 3 seperate auditions before you even get to see Simon/Paula/& Randy....Obviously they choose the HORRIBLE ppl to go through to meet the REAL judges.

my friend auditioned & they passed up her wonderful voice (she nailed a Whitney Houston song) and they chose a goofball who was literally acting stupid and doing cartwheels! SERIOUSLY.

American Idol isn't like "starsearch" or anything. It's like it is a joke.

IDOL needs to stop wasting people's time & toying with their emotions!!!!!!!

They have to have "good tv" to keep the show going. I wish people would stop auditioning just to be on tv, and give real talented people a chance.

Many people think American Idol is bogus, but a lot more people like it, and some people know is fixed but they watch it anyway because is entertaining

Well, they need to start letting better singers through the auditions, on that I'm 100 percent on you with.

But then, no matter WHO gets through, the voters start deciding, and after all these seasons, I just don't like it as much because too many good ones go early, and we're left with "The Best of the Rest".

AI's just not my kind of show.  It's alright, but I like shows with twists and turns.. like The Mole, Survivor, and BB.

its because they want the tryouts to be entertaining.

and they assume that people who cant sing are more

entertaining than people with  real talent.
