My fiance is in Egypt, wanting to apply for a fiance visa so we can get married when he gets here, but my question the way his lawyer has worded it to me, as if I'm applying for the Visa for him am the fiancee so does that me I'll be going to the embassy for the interview or what? Also, if he's the one to go to the embassy for it then how will that be possiable if he cant enter the US w/o a visa?

  1. Your fiance will go for his interview in Egypt, at the American Embassy. Although you are the one doing all of the paperwork, you will not meet, or be interviewed by anyone until after he has arrived and you have married and you wish to change status.

  2. If you are in the US and he is in Egypt, you will recieve copies of all notifications that your fiancee will recieve and No you are not required to be present for the interview although you will be the one submitting all your applications because you are the one that wants him here, correct? Be sure you do meet the poverty guidelines otherwise it will require finding someone else to assist you with you meeting this burden. remember even though you apply.  This may be denied and all the monies will not be refunded.  good luck..

  3. Do you know him? Really? Or he just sweet talked you over the Internet?

Be aware that thousands of scammers are doing this to get VISAs and money (you can go to the USA without a plane ticket, new clothes, cash for the VISA application, etc.)

Don't fall for scams like this one.

Anyway, you don't apply for him. He applies and you can issue a letter of invitation, give sponsorship, etc.
