Am I the only 18 year old that doesn't have a drivers license?

I mean at times I'm so sick and tired of my parents pulling me behind for events. They are fashionably late a lot of the times which can totally tick me off especially when it's to my events.

Then I think I could get a car and get a license but it's commonly stereotyped by the insurance company that young adults or teens will smash their car up within the first year. So insurance prices sky rocket in which I can't afford, even the soaring gas prices I couldn't afford.

So what may I do. What should I do? Should I try and go for getting my drivers license next summer? Even though that's going to be quite expensive or should I try to save up that money for college since I'm going to college next year and I'm starting 2009-2010 school year in college.

  1. I'm twenty-three without a license - it's a pain in the butt, but if there's good public transportation near where you live it's feasible. You can also try bicycling to get around - that'd probably be better in the long-term, anyway, what with gas prices on the rise.

  2. No  you are not the only teenage without an License since i'm going to be 18 in october, and i don't even have one of those driver licenses. plus i like taking the  bus to work since there crowded and it's fun to be with others. now as for you getting your Drivers License i say yeah go for it that is if you have an paying Job.

Also ask your Parents if they can help you pay for your Drivers License even though,  where i live they cost only $50 to get one so that's real cheap.  so depending where you live and how much it's cost i recommend you asking your parents to help you pay for your Drivers License.  since College is way more important

  3. i suggest you save your money for college

while waiting for the right opportunity (age) for your license, it is practical to spend time on school so you can learn while waiting
