Am I the only NASCAR fan that absolutely loves Pocono?

Question

I mean it takes so much mechanical and driver ability not to mention drivers scared out of their boxers to get around this place for 500 miles with the motor screaming at the top of its lungs at 200MPH.. I don't know. It's so different compared to the same old stuff Im even taking a day off from work to watch qualifying. Do I have issues? Well aside form my normal issues.

Tbone, i have a feeling that your issues, like mine, would need a whole new section of Y!A to discuss.  

As for pocono, i too like it - the three different corners, the long straightaway, the long d**n race.  it could stand to be a little shorter.

I'm going this year, nothing to not love about some of the fastest speeds will see into one of the sharpest turns. I have the same issues but if there's a medication, I think I'll pass.

I kinda like it when I got married last I remembered 70-80 degree summers booked a week at Caesar's Paradise Stream. It kept me out out of the Sandal's Montego Bay 105 degree heat (been there done that) I live in Texas and I see hot all of the time, the Pocono's were really a thing of beauty,

and wonder. Like I wonder what ever happened to Nazareth  Speedway which is within a modern artillery round of the goofy Phoenix on steroids track.

My only complaint, the race is too long, and its boring in the middle, but then thank god for the remote, and food on the grill. I have not been there in 5 yrs , I just hope these boys race this weekend, I can not take another yawner...Theres lots of people that love Pocono, its just not my favorite track, but the area is beautiful very green and scenic..

no its a cool track. the best tracks though are talledega and martinsville. cant beat martinsville.

I like Pocono because it's FAST!!! The only bad thing about Pocono is it's a terrible place to watch a race. Other than that, Pocono rates in my Top 10 in favorite tracks. It's an extremely brutal and both physically and mentally challenging. Gotta Love It!

I don't dislike Pocono.  I just wish they ran less miles there.  It gets too boring in the middle.

Pocono is one of the coolest tracks. The long straight away is like a mini dragstrip and it has three distinct turns. It's a break from an oval track and really lets a driver create new strategies. I can't wait to see who passes who between turn one and turn two.

I love Pocono! Definately ranks in the top 5 of My favorite Tracks. Sure its alot of Follow The Leader style of racing but that just adds more of an Element to the track. the driver is constantly thinking of where they are going to set up the next pass that cant just pass at will like others. (Maybe thats why I like the road courses so much).

I love the Pocono races. The 2002 Pennsylvania 500 was the first race that I ever watched every lap of and my favorite Bill Elliott won the race. I've been hooked ever since. Also, Pocono adds a unique touch to the NASCAR schedule. If Smith ever gets ahold of Pocono and moves even one of its dates, I WILL NOT watch the race at whatever track the date goes to. BRING BACK NORTH WILKESBORO AND ROCKINGHAM!!!

The pro's: Nice place, nice people. Great view of pit road.

The con's: Bad views when they hug the wall, horrible to get out of.

I'll skip this one and see how the COT races, then decide on the second race.

I do! It's different, exciting, and fun to watch...and definetely is a drivers track. I can't wait. I love watching the races there for some reason. It's in a pretty place also, in the Pocono Mountains.

It is one of my favorite tracks. I really like different and it is certainly different.

I like the Pocono track.  But I like watching it at home.  I went there a few times and it is tough track to follow--you can't see the entire track during the race however at the time Rusty was pitting front of us and the KING was right beside him.  Quite the high lite and got some great pix.

I think Charlotte and Richmond are the best, but I'm heading to Las Vegas in Feb of 09.  Is that a good track?
