How can people say that she is ready to run... i was looking at http://www.ontheissues.org/default.htm and guess what, when i clicked her name she barely has any information on her stances and a lot of them has absolotuly no plan at all including foreign policy! I know obama isnt the most experienced candidate but at least he has detailed plans...and has been correct in a lot of the judgements he made... including his issues on iraq that even the bush administration is starting to adopt. Im not trying to sway anybody, and i do believe that palin would be a great vp and maybe president but are people really sure that this is the best time for her to be in office? Look at the other vp candidates that mccain should of choose from? Romney and all of them? they have detailed issues... at a time that we are in war we need someone with a plan(whether republican or democrat... How can people say that Mccain choose the best person for the job and for america? Im still shocked...

  1. If you compare her profile to the others in the race...its VERY sparse.

  2. Do you have a stance on foreign policy?  If you have one why would you assume someone else has none?

  3. Given that she hadn't given much thought to Iraq until her son enlisted last year and an actual Repub talking point about her foreign policy creds is that Alaska is right by Russia... yes, I am a little bothered.

  4. She doesn't need a stance she has a firm position.

  5. What exactly is the great obama's foreign policy? Where is all of the documentation of his great feats as a United States senator in that area? He has had a few years to evaluate what was coming down the road from real thinking people and jump on whatever band wagon looked good to him. A vote of present on the floor of the senate is a non-vote.

Or maybe you consider his great speech to 250,000 germans and preaching the Communist manifesto, fascism, and socialism to foreign countries as good foreign policy.

Sarah Palin, was tapped as a VP candidate all of 4 days ago. I'm sure when the time comes, she will have the necessary foreign policy to keep this country moving in the right direction.

  6. If you were the problem would be minimal!

  7. I agree. When the experience you bring to the table is a handfull of years as mayor of a town of 6500, and 20 months as Governor of a state of 670,000 - at best your experience can be categorized as limited. She seems more bent on using her family as a campaigning tool than attacking issues that face this country of 300 million. Vote for us I'm the mom of a soldier, vote for us I'm a mom of a Downs baby and I could have had an abortion, I'm a moose eating soccer mom, married to a blue collar husband...this is not a platform. Foreign policy is completely out of her realm and the experience she has under her belt is not going to help her in this area. I think she was a rather sad choice, there are so many more qualified republican females out there, if female was the angle McCain was going for.

  8. no you ain't

  9. Her stance on foreign policy will transform in a way just like the inexperienced Bush was in 2000.  She will blindly follow advice of Karl Rove, neocon military advisers like Wolfowitz and of course McCain and her position will morph perfectly equal with theirs.  She will offer no 'reform', that is the biggest crock since Bush's promise of being a uniter and not a divider.

  10. She is everything that women have fought against all these years. I am in my fifties and women have fought for the rights to terminate a pregnancy if necessary. Imagine women being forced to keep a child that was created out of violence (rape) or incest (rape). This labels that child for life. What a family tree that child will carry. Put yourself in the shoes of the upcoming child. Plus she brags about shooting a bear and having its hide as a rug. I am stunned that the people of America can ever consider her as a vp. Its scary. We are alot more open minded in Canada. I could never ever see the Canadian people giving a second glance to woman like that. She will appeal to the religious fanatics for sure. But women please think about who youare voting in she is frightening

  11. She knows nothing about foreign policy and until recently was in Alaska with her hand out to the federal government. Republicans who criticise Democrats "social programs" that use federal tax dollars should rethink Palin and her Republican "gimme gimme gimme" sort of ways.

  12. Give her time. Her position will be John McCain's position.

  13. The trouble with a foriegn policy policy is that it concerns the forisgns and not US.

We are US not them although we have to get along.

You'd think that The first thought would be what's best for US then how do we work it-help-respond-whatever.

Don't you get the idea that money/buisness drives the state of world affairs as much as anything else.

Most of theturmoil in the world has happened because someone wanted what someone else had or they have a freekish domination thing happening

Religion c**p-not to much anyone can do about that -no rationality involved.

    So who ya gonna call?

How about someone who will protect her cubs

Based upon the same principles of right/wrong all basic humans have and not from a policy of creating the world in our image-though thats why most people immigrate to the US

Havivg detailed issue are good up to the point that something happens in a perfect world but serious stuff doesn't happen after it reads your policy.

Best policy is to have none and keep-em guessing

  14. Palin is just all about to win the elections for Mc cain.

  15. you are not the only one, it is that, and a lot more that bothers me.

  16. No, you are not. It locked in my vote for Bob Barr.

  17. do you really think she has no stance on foreign policy? here you are on little ol' left wing yahoo answers and it seems by your implication that you even have an opinion on it, i don't know it,but i'm sure you have one
