Am I the only one freaked out about the effects of the Northwest Passage?

OH wow! the ice is melting and it provides better access for Made in China goods to be transported to the US much easier! What a wonderful world it will be in 20 years when we run out of the fuel underneath that ice and when the arctic is completely melted away. This is all hypothetical, of course... Is it really worth it? We are putting our own people out of business, so we can have these cheap, sometimes poisonous, goods from China filling our homes and landfills. When is something going to be done about this?

  1. When I was young "Made in Japan" meant junk.  Today "Made in Japan" means good.  I think China will join the world community with quality products in the future just like Japan did.

  2. Why would you go from China to the US via the NW passage???
