Who actually wakes up feeling MORE tired and exhausted than when you went to bed?

I don't remember ever feeling so exhausted in the morning before in my life.

The most stupid and bizzare thing is I can get up at 5:15am or 5:30am to start a 7am shift with NO problems what so ever. None of these tired, drained, just exhausted feelings.

OK maybe a little tired.

All blood tests are normal.

I am not anaemic.

My bedtime is around 10:30pm, but I am usually not feeling tired at all, so I read a while then fall asleep.

I get up to take my son to school at 7:00am.

It's winter here but I feel like this all year around, but less in summer.

Does this happen to anyone else????

It is driving me crazy.

It makes me feel so lazy, which I am not.

My family hang it on me for feeling like this so much. They think I am just being lazy.

HELP!!!!! Anybody.

Any answers or ideas excepted with thanks.

  1. Have you ever thought that you could be dealing with some sort of depression? Depression comes in a lot of forms, NOT just feeling sad and depressed. You may want to look into that.

  2. I would definitely go get your circulatory system checked out, focusing on the heart.  If you have any family history of heart problems in your family then you need to get that checked out anyways.  This is a classic symptom of heart disease.  Whether it could be MVP (Mitral Valve Prolapse) or some other kind of heart condition.  I would definitely take this seriously though.  Get checked out.  Take exercise into consideration, whether it is taking a walk or eating small snacks throughout your day for a boost.  Apples are great as they contain a lot of natural caffeine, more than a cup a coffee.  Here are some things to ask yourself.  Am I a candidate for heart disease (age, diet, smoker)?  Am I getting ample sunlight?  The body does need sunlight!

  3. Try exercising at least 30 minutes and a glass of hot milk before bedtime. It helps you to sleep better.

  4. i love waking up evryday...

...having the thought tat i wuld be chatting wif my best fren (while on the job)....in Yahoo Messenger...and answering questions here...;))..

...planning wat wuld my lunch be....and dinner...

...have good thoughts when u wake up...it liven up the spirit....

    ..it werks for me...

  5. If you actually feel good except after a long sleep then what you are describing is consistent with the effects of sleep apnea. Do you snore? Are you overweight or do you drink alcohol before sleep? All of these things increase the chance of sleep apnea. An overnight sleep study is certainly indicated.
