Right when they said she was down, a feeling of dread dropped through me like a bomb. Did anyone else feel this way?

  1. I wasn't crying but my heart sank and i was close to tears, i was so happy for her too when i heard that she came in second, and then she went down...

  2. I didn't cry, but my heart sank right when they said that .

  3. Yes I cried too as soon as I saw her lying on the ground.

I cried again when I saw yahoo photos.  So sad. .

But I will always remain a racing fan.  I will not let hers or Barbaro's death be in vain.

  4. I'm trying not to cry right now only because I'm at work. Its something you dont want to see. Its making me second guess as to whethwer or not I want to bet on any more horse races. I mean, I won but that feels hollow now knowing that a horse with the heart of a champion just lost her life.

  5. Eight Belles ... Ruffian ... Barbaro.  I don't know how many three-year olds have to break down on the track before it occurs to people that these horses are too young to be raced safely.

All I know is, I'm never watching another televised horse race. What a stupid waste.

  6. i didnt cry but it made me wonder if this sport is worth it

  7. Horses are meant to run, it is very sad that such a tragedy occurred. But that is racing, these things happen.

  8. i couldnt believe my eyes, i came close to crying
