  1. yes i understood what they went through by watching old shows about the most dangerous jobs in the world and crab fishing was number one. those shows were prolly the precurser to the deadliest catch.

theres no reason to keep doing these shows its sort of the same thing over and over again someone falls off somee greenhorn gets hurt yadda yadda personally i don't like the show deiscovery is supposed to be about discovering things not watching the same thing over and over again.

i can't beleive this show took over mythbusters the greatest show ever

ps why did you put this in zoology this would be in some other category

  2. No!  I watch that show1  It is pretty cool to see how hard the work is to get the crab that everyone loves so much!

Here is some info on the crabs they fish for:

  3. Love that show.  Sig is my favorite captain and his brother Edgar cracks me up.  There are snow crabs - Ophelia and King Crab.  The ones that get thrown back are just too small.

  4. l love deadliest catch. the king crabs that they throw back are either small ones or females, though most of the time they will die from frost bite so there really is no point in throwing them back anyway. it is not global warming its more to do with trying to create sustainability in the fishery because historically the king crab population crashed from over fishing.

my university does alot of work with some of the fishermen who go out on these boats.

  5. I watch it all the time.
