Question:

Am I the only one who's having trouble appealing a violation notice?

You all seem to be missing the point here, which is, once again, that when I attempt to appeal, it just gets bounced back to me as undeliverable. Yahoo isn't even seeing my appeal, because it never gets to them, and I'd like to know a URL that my email actually will be delivered to.

And "King's Kid", I think you're assuming rather a lot about an answer you haven't even seen. Just because someone receives a violation notice, does NOT mean they have actually violated the CG or TOS, as many here will attest. I assume you're a christain - nobody else could be so judgemental.

  1. I gave up with violation notices and just check out my answer and flick it away as another bad joke by some unintelligent person who cannot take a joke or has no sense of humor whats so ever and they need to be committed to an asylum for medical psychoanalysis before they commit suicide.

  2. I think the appeal process should include a human written explanation of the exact violation <highlighted text>

Nobody has ever explained to me why my questions were deleted.

Bottom line is...  no matter what your question/answer is, no matter how closely you follow the TOS guidelines, if a person doesn't like it, they can just "call it" a rant, and it appears the TOSBOTS at Y!A can't tell the difference.

  3. Don't bother. It's not worth the effort. Just start another account if you get suspended. One hint though: Don't ask about Mormons more than about once a day or you'll get suspended. They like to report.

  4. Louis666 claims he recently won an appeal.

I had this deleted:  "Pre-tribbers, what if mid-tribbers are right?" Lost on both appeal rounds.  (not a q or a).

I had a four paragraph answer deleted as "not a q or a."  Lost on both appeal rounds.

This is occurring just since the last fix.

  5. No. Their customer service leaves something to be desired.

  6. I fired off an appeal about opinion Q&A's It's been four days since and still haven't heard from them. They say any Q&A's that are based on opinion are a violation. That means, to my estimate, 90% of them are in violation right now.

Bottom line, don't use you good account for this site and that way you can care less about the whole silly system here.

  7. well, your name says it all really

we are all innocent victims of yahh boo sucks authority on a power trip

i was able to appeal my first 3 or so, then it just stopped and i havnt been able to appeal any since, as was said, they dont care

best to 'suck it up' and get on with your time here

  8. You seriously need to get your priorities straight.

  9. The whole idea behind this forum (actually any of the forums) is to gain knowledge. Basically to learn. The tranference of knowledge and advice from one person to another is the sole goal of these forums.

These forums are not to see how "cutsie" we can get with others or how many "raunchy" marks we can say. They are not to be a vehicle for "flaming" others or being "nasty".

Knowing that I'd say the wisest move on any forum on answer would be to act with decency. If you have a question then ask it but try to be civil and also not so smart mouthed. All you do when you do that is to upset the other guy and start a war.

  10. No, it's not you.  Whenever I try to appeal, I get a standard response that has nothing to do with the appeal.
