I'm 17 and like many teenagers, I have my IPod but it's full of relatively unpopular music, meaning it's not soulja boy or hannah montana. I'm a bit paranoid and I feel that people are judging me constantly. So when I listen to music, sometimes I think people can hear it thorugh the headphones. Though it's not just that. The type of music I like to listen to takes me away from the real world and speaks to my soul(yeah it does sound lame, deal with it). The way I feel is easily disturbed by the average airhead girl who talks on and on about boys and clothes. Plus I've had to deal with my family while listening to music. They also do not understand that I have different tastes. And any noise at all hurts my enjoyment of music. So I listen to it when I'm by myself and it's completly quiet. It makes me feel the best. Am I the only one like that?

  1. If it's music worth listening to; I agree with you.

  2. It's the same with me. I have songs ranging from Aly and AJ to Tchaikovsky on my iPod. Sometimes it's nice to just listen to music without disruptions or people trying to figure out what you're thinking.

    Do these things:

1.When listening to your iPod in the car, open the windows. It makes the other person unable to hear your music, yet you can still hear it.

2.Go to the opposite part of your home that the rest of your family is in, and listen to music there.

3.Turn on the radio so others are entertained, while you listen to your iPod.

  3. i dont listen to music like that. but the i think that as well, that people can listen to music through my headphones, and that they might think its a bit you know dorky.

  4. I too can't listen to music in front of others. I feel as if everyone will judge me by the music I listen to. It would be impossible for me to enjoy the music without worrying about what someone would say. That is why I only listen to music on my iPod at home.

  5. Afraid not :) I'm exactly like that. It's not because I'm worried about the music I listen too (s***w what other people think), I just feel uncomfortable if I have my headphones in my ears when in a crowded area (or anywhere with people basically)...

    wonder why...

  6. nah. My family and friends HATE my music. haha. But it's what you like and yu shouldn't care what they say about it. Since it makes you feel good just get lost in it and don't care what they think. That's what I do and I have plenty of friends from one's who like what I like to the ones who hate it. So just listen to it. Music is by far the best part of my life. It gets me through ANYTHING.

  7. same here

listen to rock/screamo/ my friends mock my tpye of music (and they have never even listened to it) and my parents disaprove of it and i dont want anyone in plubic to hear it

but i can relate to alot of it and i love it more than anything cuz i dont have alot so yea i hate other people listening to my music

  8. no im definetly like that ur not alone i dont know about other people but u just described exactly how i feel.

  9. your brilliant, your not a sheep like most teenagers, enjoy your individuality, enjoy your music!!!
