Am I the only one who didn't absolutely LOVE "The Shack"?

I get it and everything, I just wouldn't read it twice on purpose. While I admit that there were some touching and poignant parts, I wasn't blown away as most of my friends and family were. I'm a forty year old mom of three. I'm a heavy reader and I've studied the Bible extensively. I fully understand the imagery and allegory of it. I just plain didn't care for it. What are your views? Thanks.

  1. Your question is a bit strange. Did you love the book or not? I don't understand what you mean by "I just plain didn't care for it"  If you read the Bible (as you said) and have a relationship with God, shouldn't the book leave some impact on you?

I loved the book, because of its battle between complexity (human understanding of God) and simplicity (God's amazing, unconditional love for human)

  2. I liked the action or the abduction at the start, then it all went downhill from there for me. It was interesting, just not exciting.
