Am I the only one who hopes Jimmy Carter lives a long life, gets lots press and stays a democrat?

Your the only one, trust me. If you lived through the Carter years you went through a REAL recession, with 21% interest rates and unemployment lines 5 miles long. Today we do not have anything like that. He was by far the worst President America had in the last 50 years. He let our people (hostages) "rot" in Iran while they (Iran) made a laughing stock of Carter worldwide. You had to be there. It was pathetic. Fortunately, Ronald Reagan brought us out of the recession and back to being respected worldwide. Iran was so scared of Reagan they let the hostages go the same day he was inaugrated.

I met Jimmy once back in the 80's at a book signing,he was gracious,charming, etc and seemed like a "nice guy" how ever he was perhaps THE worst President we ever had. (I also find it ironic the Dems ridicule Bush for his pronunciation of "nuclear" when Jimmy said it the exact same way and HE actually served on a nuclear sub!
