Am I the only one who thinks all Geico talks about is how time saving they are? What about safe?

Well they have been in business for 80 years. They are a stable and highly rated company for customer satisfaction. This aside, that doesn't mean they will be cheaper for everyone. If you are interested you can always call and get a quote. I used to work for them in California and at the time they were the cheapest, not anymore.

Ha. They won't tell you how expensive they are, either. Double what Farmer's was.

They are a large company spending a great deal of time and effort on marketing.  While this is good, you have to decide if price alone is what is best for your needs.  There may be some trade offs due to their size with other important factors such as service, or a personal touch.  You really need to be holistic in what your needs are, and price is just a small part of the bigger picture.

Geico is owned by Berkshire Hathaway, which is rated AAA [the best] by all the debt rating agencies and insurance rating agencies.
