Am I the only one who thinks this?!?

Sometimes I feel like we are just teachers paychecks and that they are only teaching us to get money, and to benefit their future by making us into someone big. Seriously! this has been bothering me for a really long time, so please respond in a responsible manner. Thanks a bunch!;)

  1. You are very naive. I am a teacher, and we don't make enough money to get into it for the paychecks. I agree there are some teachers who shouldn't be teaching, but many teachers truly care about their students and want to see them succeed. If you had any idea what a teacher's job is like, you would understand why there are so many burnt out, frustrated, testy, annoyed people out there who feel like giving up.

  2. i think most teachers start out with genuine concern. but after a few years of bucking the system, hard headed kids, parents that dont give a darn, threats lawsuits, insufficent pay,low morale, etc {the list goes on and on} they get beat down and kinda give up. just think about it.!! it happens with doctors, policemen, all kinds of people. the bottom line is to get the most you can out of school, for yourself!!

  3. they actually dont care about you, they are unionized and dont give a **** if you succeed or not

  4. Don't be so cynical. Many teachers do care, and while there are some who have given up, saying that teachers view students as a paycheck is an insult to the many good teachers out there.

  5. Guess what? Teachers feel like it's the students that are wasting THEIR time, sitting in a coma, popping their gum and rolling their glazed eyes. Been there done that.

Wait 'til you get out in the real world. Without some kind of education, you can bet all you'll be doing is saying "you want fries wit dat" and making change at the 7-11.

  6. no........... but it doesn't apply to all teachers. some do it because... they actually like it!

  7. you have some teachers that really care but i think for the most part it is just a job.some go into teaching thinking that they can make a difference and the others just for the money and a job as i said.

  8. if you ever saw a teachers pay check you wouldnt think that.

  9. I hope you are. Because that is ridiculous and idiotic.

I have had some very caring, determined teachers. Why would they be working in a job that pays almost nothing if they hated it and didn't care if it helped anyone or not? You must be 10 years old, because obviously you are just ranting over some teacher yelling at you for passing a note in class. Come on, get a reality check.

  10. I agree with that. They don't 'work that much, get paid good salaries & could care less about the students.I would say they are doing ok.:)
