Am I the only one who was angry while watching the woman's diving final last night???

for those who watched

chinese girl was getting 1st

canada 2nd

another chinese girl third

well after fourth dive

canada was winning by 2pt

then in the final dive everything was messed up

those two chinese girl do same dive and difficulty

and the one whos getting 2nd do usually better than third. she always gets 3~4pt more than the other girl

well after 5th dive #3 chinese girl got 93 or 4(i forget) then~~~

the #2 girl got 100.3pt which makes her the leader by 10pt

HOWEVER, those two girl did exactly same thing except the #2 girl did lil bit better going into water

i think diving is totall BS and should be off the olympic with all those biased judges

Trop, yes, they did the exact same dives as each other in each round.  This was mentioned by the announcers before the start of both the semis and the finals.  Both Chinese divers did the same dives, same degree of difficulty, same order.  I understand the frustration, but it really isn't as if the canadian diver was robber, in my opinion.  That last dive that won the gold was really amazing.  It was more than just a little bit better than the other chinese diver.  Form was better, take off was better, there was less splash on the entry.  Enough was better, I think.  I think that some judges could have done it differently, but in the end, I think the winner was fairly chosen.  It was a spectacular competition, and I still think the Canadian diving team should be thrilled with how their diver performed.

The Chinese girl got 4 perfect 10's and 3 9.5's for that jump.  That was the highest score for anyone during the finals.  She won gold.  She's like half the size of the Canadian girl and thin as a pin.  No splash will get her a 10.  She won on this dive.

The Canadian girl dived very well, also.  She got silver.  Her Chinese coach thought so too.  If the Canadian girl did the jump with no splash, she would win the gold.  Her splash was more than the Chinese girl's.  I think the Canadian girl did a fabulous job.

How much you know about diving? The judges are all different countries

when they give mark all judges will decide except the judge have the same  nation with the diver.so it is quit fare

I didn't see anything wrong with the diving last night, did you see Laura Wilkensen's face after the last diver nailed her entry?  Her jaw dropped like "Holy$hit!!!! That was awesome!!"  She even clapped along with the crowd, which went bonkers.  I'm very happy for the canadian too.

I didn't see the diving last night so I can't say specifically related to that event.  However, when you have an event that is judged by humans, there will always be inaccuracies in someones eyes.  This type of event has subjective judging and as long as that continues, consciously or subconsciously, there will be some bias or mistakes. Don't take it too much to heart.  If the divers felt cheated, they could have filed a petition for review.

If we all felt exactly the same about everything in this world, there would be no reason for someone to ask you how you are doing.

im not trying 2 b unfair!! but can u guys c dat those 2 chinese girls .. wen day go in2 the water... they didnt make splash.....

and the canadian person - she did amazing ......

- although, im still disappointed dat the Laura Wilkinson didnt get anything... i feel bad 4 her......=(((((( !! cuz its the last dive 4 her....

- sometimes, i feel like the judges r unfair ..... they always give the chinese girls/boys high scores!!!

I watched. It was fair. The last dive by the Gold medalist from China was flawless.
