Am I thin, absolutely bang on target, or overweight (overweight I doubt)?

I'm 4'10 and a half, and weigh 82/83 pounds. I am small boned and don't have much muscle.

  1. You are underweight. Your body mass index is 17.3 and to be considered healthy your BMI should be between 18.5 and 24.9 so in terms of pounds that is approximately gaining 7 pounds to be at 18.8

  4. Considering you are not athletic, I'd say thats pretty healthy weight-wise. Maybe consider checking your food intake, make sure you get what you need. *calcium, iron, especially!!!  Consider doing sports (joining a team or something, thats always fun, or a class like hip hop or aerobics.) It'll keep you healthy as you get older, and its a very, very good stress reliever. (research proves it)

    I wouldn't worry much if you are otherwise healthy. And if you get your period before 17.
