Am I to heavy for my bike?

ok so everytime I get on my bike the tires in the front go down as if they are flat. but if I feel them while Im not riding then they will pumped up and full of air. what should I do?

  1. Yeah, you DEFINITELY need a pump with a P.S.I. gauge. I bought one without, and returned it the next day. You cant be sure. If you pump them too low, you'll bend your rims and decrease your performance. If you pump too high, you have a better chance for a blow out. At Target, they have a floor pump w/ gauge for about 13 bucks. Its worth it. I'm about 280 lbs. The front tires should bow/flex but not like your explaining. Fill it up a little under the max. Maybe about 2-5 psi lower.


  2. if its a road bike 90-120psi fill it if its a mtb then 40-45psi that the recommended pressure just look on the side wall for the pressure

  3. Inflate them to the pressure recommended on the sidewall.

  4. I'm heavy too and you have to inflate to the max in order to get the effective use of the wheels. You can't go by feel with tires you need to get a pump with a gauge so there's no question or mistake.
